Shoes Number One
Here we have some pictures of the “shoe hanging from cables” phenomenon.
I’m planning to make a list of all of the locations where it occurs, and take pictures at each place. #1 in the series is Underneath The Bridge Just Down From Manayunk Station. You will notice a total of four pairs of shoes, in two separate locations

plus a free bonus pigeon.
The central pair of shoes here was very small:
Look at them in comparison to the normal shoes!
Though the other pair may have been just very large. Who can really say?
Canon Elura 50 used, on account of its powerful shoe-zoom.

if you’re going to be running around photographing shoes hanging from wires, better be careful you’re not taken for an undercover narc!

i don’t know why civilians do it, but when i was in the military, people would tie together a pair of their combat boots and toss ‘em over the wires when they were about to get out of the service. i took pics once of one guy’s pair of boots that he’d decorated with anarchy symbols in whiteout before tossing them.

There’s some more at the so-called station I get the train home from – I brought my camera in today, I’m going to take some pictures of those too.
